3 Ways: Boozy Ice Cream Drinks

Picture it: You’re kickin’ back at a backyard party, snacking on summer salads and BBQ. Everyone’s a few bevvies in and craving a little sweet treat. With just a couple ingredients from your bar and some vanilla ice cream, you whip up a boozy, frosty, retro-inspired cocktail that the entire party loves!

Whether you’re digging the throwback cocktails or just love a spiked milkshake, here’s the general rule of thumb for one:

Ingredients
  • 1 oz liquor of choice
  • 1 oz liqueur of choice
  • ½ cup high-quality vanilla ice cream
  • 1-2 drops  of Jelly Hues™ to add a brilliant color
  • Simply blend and serve with a Fancy Sugar rim or Fancy Edible Glitter cherry

Grasshopper Boozy Milkshake

GRASSHOPPER

The Grasshopper. This Midwest supperclub staple tastes like everyone’s favorite *redacted* chocolate after dinner mint…but with booze and in shake form!

· 1 oz creme de menthe

· 1 oz creme de cacao

· ½ cup vanilla ice cream

· Dublin Green Jelly Hues

· Mother Nature Fancy Sugar

· Milk Chocolate Flavored Melting Candy

· Fool's Gold Edible Glitter

Pink Squirrel Boozy Milkshake

PINK SQUIRREL

If you’re cleaning out grannie’s liquor cabinet and find a bottle of Crème de Noyaux, this is the drink for you! This liqueur is almond-flavored, whose color comes from cherry, peach or apricot pits. If you don’t have this on hand, amaretto is a solid substitute.

· 1 oz white creme de cacao

· 1 oz creme de noyaux [or amaretto]

· ½ cup vanilla ice cream

· Malibu Pink Jelly Hues

· Tequila Sunrise Fancy Sugar

· Diamond White Edible Glitter

Brandy Alexander Boozy Milkshake

BRANDY ALEXANDER

Don’t be fooled by the name, a Brandy Alexander is just a chocolate shake with a lil’ something extra! While brandy is a little sweeter, making it a perfect addition to a boozy shake, we think a peanut butter whiskey would work nicely too!

· 1 oz brandy

· 1 oz crème de cacao

· ½ cup vanilla ice cream

· Nutmeg

· Banana Split Fancy Sprinkles

· Fool’s Gold Edible Glitter

P.S. For all my girlies—and fellas—with sensitive tummies or other dietary restrictions, you haven’t been left out! Since vanilla ice cream is already gluten free, this recipe is SO EASY to switch up. Just substitute vanilla ice cream with your favorite dairy free alternative and you’re good to go. Boozy milkshakes 4 all!
